The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani meets with officials from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Afghan Telecom
The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan H. E. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, met with acting minister of the Ministry of Communications and Technology (MCIT) Shahzad Aryobee, and Afghan Telecom Officials, and heard their performance report on Monday, October 2, 2017.
In the meeting, which was held in the Arg, the acting minister of MCIT spoke about the process of Internet services, saying that evaluation on the Internet services and prices of the Afghan Telecom has begun, and we will soon present the report about reviewing Internet contracts to the Presidency.
Then, the president of the country H. E. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said: that the government and the people are not satisfied about the quality of Internet services, especially the Internet price of the Afghan Telecom. In this regard He directed the practical arrangements and emphasized on taking serious measures to implement it.
President Ghani added that communications and ways to provide Internet services should be taken into consideration. He stressed to improving quality and decreasing the price of the Internet, as well as increasing the capacity of the Afghan Telecom company.
Authorities of The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology stated that: our initial investigation to improve the Internet and Telecom services suggests that there is capacity in this area and we are working for improved service delivery.
