Modernization of Kabul traffic system with electronic licenses

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Shahzad Aryobee and head of Kabul Municipality Mr. Abdullah Habibzai signed the memorandum of understanding aiming to issue vehicle and driving electronic licenses at a press conference held in government media and information center on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.

Minister of MCIT speaking about the importance of the agreement, said with the implementation of this system using smart cards (chips), the driving licensees would access electronic licenses.

Minister of MCIT added that: Our plan is to create a central system for the traffic in the Kabul city so that the clients of Kabul Public Traffic Management can easily insert request in the system and get the license as soon as possible and obtain license through post offices in lieu of offering appeals and expectations.
