Minister Syed Ahamad Shah Sadaat meets Indian Ambassador

Acting Minister of Communications and Information Technology met with the Indian Ambassador Mr. Manipitra Ohra.
The meeting focusd on bilateral friendly ties and in particular inaugurating Afghanistan's Terminal in South Asian satellite, a separate satellite that India offers to Afghanistan, training of cadres in the field of telecommunications and technology, small development projects.

A memorandum of understanding will soon be signed between India and Afghanistan on operation of South Asian Satellite. Two out of all 12 transponders will be given freely to Afghanistan. This satellite will be used in telecommunications, television broadcasting, agriculture, mines and other fields. Also

Both sides discussed issues related to building a special satellite to Afghanistan and a satellite station in Kabul.

The Minister Sadaat thanked India for sustained support and called India a close strategic partner. The Indian Ambassador expressed his determination for further development activities in Afghanistan.
