MCIT- Afghan Delegation Visits to China for attending the Regional conference
H. E. Abdul Razaq Vahidi Minister of MCIT leading a delegation attended first conference for New Cooperation and International Technology transfer which was held coincide with third China – south Asia exhibition in Coming city of People Republic of China from 10 – 14th June 2015.
The conference focused on following three axes:
1. Strategy of Innovation –driven Development
2. Driving Science and Technology Cooperation for One Belt, One Road”
3. Progress of China-South Asia Science and Technology Cooperation and Suggestions
Minister Abdul Razaq Vahidi during the conference in his speech hailed about the importance of Science and Technology for collaboration and change the world, communication and technology development in Afghanistan, transforming MCIT from supplier to policy and lawmaker Unit, assignment of telecommunications and internet service to private sectors, development of five communication companies, more than 40 internet service provider companies, hundreds of IT service provider Institutes, e- governance and m- governance.
Minister of MCIT also highlighted achievements of Afghanistan in 89% coverage of GSM services, increasing of internet users from 1 to 10%, decreasing internet prices from 3000 to 60 dollars per MB and extending of Optical Fiber.

He also mentioned the role played by China and other advanced countries in ICT innovation and their support Afghanistan in its science, technology and innovations, creation research center in Afghan Universities, scholarships and exchanging achievements in science and experiences between the countries.
Minister Vahidi expressed his thanks and gratitude to Chinese government for providing facilities and warm hospitality for Afghan staff, hosting and organizing the conference.
It must be said: that on the sidelines of the conference Afghan delegation also had separate meetings with Mr. Wan Gang minster of Science and Technology, International cooperation General Director of the ministry Mr. Chin Lynhva and other profiles.
