At the meeting, it was decided that Afghanistan and Turkmenistan would be included in the Trans-Eurasian Super Highway project (TASİM). It should be noted that a Joint Committee of the respective countries will work on technical issues for execution of the project and the tripartite agreement between Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. The Azerbaijani government also expressed its readiness to invest in the Caspian Sea in order to connect with Turkmenistan, while Afghanistan has already been connected to Turkmenistan via the Torghundi border and is poised to implement this project. The TASİM project is a link between East Asia and Western Europe, through which fiber optic extends from Frankfurt to Hong Kong and connects two exchange points.
