Laying the Foundation Stone of Afghanistan Printing Protected Document Project

Tuesday, July 2, 2019: The foundation stone of Afghanistan printing secured document was laid by Mohammad Fahim Hashimi acting minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Prof. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi acting minister of Finance and Senior Advisor on Infrastructure to H. E. the president of the country.
Prof. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi acting minister of Finance in connection with the opening of the project said that the foundation stone of the project is important in different dimensions, which would lead to profound and widespread changes in the documentation process of government departments, particularly in the ministries of education, higher education, public health, economics, security, national income collection, as well as in all aspects of social, economic and political life.
Acting minister of Communications and Information Technology said that Afghanistan Printing Protected Document Project is a National and Historical project and is major step towards Afghanistan’s self-sufficiency in printing protected document.
Minister Hashimi added that the Afghanistan’s printing protected document project makes the country independent, the MCIT is part of the project and will carry out some of the related work of the project.
It is noteworthy that all documents including Afghan currency with the agreement of Da Afghanistan Bank, passports, National ID Cards (Tazkira), Goverment Employee IDs, educational documents both from public and private schools and universities, arms permits, driving license, birth certificate, court bails, working permit, government vehicle permit cards for transit, stickers, (stamps, visa and so on) voter’s registration documents with the agreement of election commission and other important documents will be printed in this printing press.
The project will be completed and put into operation within 18 months.
