Ministry of Communications and Information Technology launches empowerment training program for women in digital era

Deputy (Finance and Admin) Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Hadi Hidayati attended a meeting entitled “Women Empowerment in the Digital Age".
The other participants of the event were the Representatives of the Ministry of Women, directors of the Ministries, Mr. Mohammad Amin Ahmadi Chairman of Ibn Sina University and a number of women activists in the field of technology.
Dr. Hadi Hidayati said that "launching this program aims to empower afghan women in the field of information technology and is a bridge between the Ministry of Information Technology and the country's universities,"
He stated that “the new leadership of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has created a better capacity building environment in the field of information technology.
Thanking the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology for launching the program chairman of the Ibn Sina University Mr. Mohammed Amin Ahmadi said that "Like other developed countries, the youth of Afghanistan can digitize the country and create economic opportunities for the country,”
In terms of the presence of women in digital activities Mr. Ahmadi said: that "Women need to take important steps in technology and digital if they want to end gender segregation.
Launching the program which is the beginning of close cooperation with private universities will engage 50 top students from Kabul, Kateb and Ibn Sina universities after being interviewed for practical work at Afghan Telecom.
Also in this program the representative of the Ministry of Women Affairs read out the message from the Minister of Women, in her message, the Minister of Women's Affairs called on the students to make the most of the capacities they need. At the end of the program, prizes were awarded to the 5 elite students from across the country who were involved in information technology at the regional level.
