Minister of Communications and IT participates the session of National Procurement Commission

Shahzad Aryobee, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, participated in the session of the National Procurement Commission which was held under the presidency of the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan H.E. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Monday, May 14, 2018.

The National Procurement Commission then approved  9 new contracts, including contracts for the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, which encompasses the Fiber Optic Network Development Project (DWDM), upgrading the GSM system, provision of additional components and equipment for the Salaam Telecommunication Network of Afghan Telecom.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of communications and Information Technology’s projects were approved by the Commission on the basis of the tax settling of the winning companies.
