MCIT celebrates the International Women and Girls Day in Communications and Information Technology

Ministry of Communications and Information Technology celebrated the International Women and Girls’ Day in Communications and Information Technology on Thursday, April 26, 2018.

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Shahzad Aryobee, leadership of MCIT, minister of Women’s Affairs Mrs. Delber Nazari, Afghan and International high-ranking officials, as well as girls and women involved in the telecommunications and information technology sector were the participant of the event.

In his speeches, minister of MCIT mentioning the important role of women in a society pledged that as the responsible for telecom and information technology sector, MCIT have regular plans for building capacity and providing job and educational opportunities for women in the country.

In addition, minister Aryobee appreciated Afghan women innovators in the telecommunications and information technology.

On the sidelines of the program, Shazad Aryobee and minister of women’s Affairs Mrs. Delber Nazari signed a memorandum of understanding for the implementation of the Government Resource Planning (GRP) system in the Ministry of Women's Affairs.

At the end, leadership of MCIT visited the exhibitions organized by women and related companies.
