MCIT Signes Mobile Salary Payment Contracts with Afghan Wireless and Roshan Telecom Companies

Ministry Communications and Information Technology signed two contracts with Afghan wireless and Roshan Telecom companies to pay salaries through mobile phones on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

Based on these contracts, the Afghan Wireless Communications Company provides salaries for 30,000 staff members of the Ministry of Education in Nangarhar, Parwan and Farah provinces, and Roshan Telecom will pay salaries for 4,500 employees of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in the capital (Kabul) and for 1000 other officers of this ministry in the provinces of Nangarhar, Balkh, Kunduz, Paktia, Badakhshan, Herat and Kandahar.

It is worth saying  that payment of salaries through mobile phones on one hand provides transparency, and on the other hand, , government officials receive their salaries without any barriers and security fears as soon as possible, and this hierarchy will first begin in the above-mentioned provinces and will gradually expand to other provinces.
