National ICT Council holds extraordinary Meeting

Information technology and telecommunication council meets sound and healthy growth of information technology, gathers private and government sectors, involves different strata of society especially guarantees to keep the proportion of male and female in employment.

National council held extraordinary session of technology and communication on Tuesday 24/5/1391 at 11: 15 am, chaired by H.E. Kareem Khalily second vice president. The meeting was attended by ministers of MCIT, Higher Education and Economy, deputy ministers of interior, Public health, information and culture and justice, AISA head of office, head of IT Department of MCIT, head of National Association of ICT, and head of National Electronic ID-Card - ministry of Interior and representative of Independent Commission of Civil Services. The meeting began with speech of Kareem Khalily the second vice president. Then H. E. Amirzai Sangin; minister of MCIT gave brief information about the specification of National ID Card.
The meeting discussed about specifications of NID, filling the form and registration of NID.
Subsequently Mr. Aimal Marjan head of IT Department of MCIT presented detailed information about the design and specification of NID. After that, Eng. Farhad head of NID project of MoI informed the meeting about the form and registration process.  After exchanging some viewpoints; the decision was made, that NID should be sent to council of ministers after a series of changes. The meeting ended at 1:30 pm.
