Minister of Communications and Information Technology participates High Economic Council meeting

Ministers of Justice, Economy, and deputy minister of Finance and technical experts of Afghanistan Telecommunication Regulatory Authorities also participated the meeting.

The meeting focused on clarification the status of the license extension for telecommunication companies and the argument made by the companies refusing to pay fees for renewing their license and activities were reviewed as will. According to the studies, telecommunication companies are legally required to pay fees and renew their business licenses, and there is no legal barrier against the payment of fees by telecommunication companies in return for renewal of their license.
