MCIT develops the Geographic Information System Policy

Ministry of Communications and Information Technology developed the Geographic Information System Policy (GIS) in close cooperation with the Asian Development Bank and the Ministry of Finance and was shared with the relevant government departments. On this occasion a one-day workshop was organized in cooperation with ADB on Wednesday, September 10, 2017.

Minister of MCIT noting the importance  of the aforementioned policy in the context of balanced development, emphasized using of the Geographic Information System for Small and Large Development Projects, Livestock, Narcotic Control, Telecommunication Coverage and etc. Additionally, Shahzad Aryoubee stipulated that: with the implementation of this policy, geographic data collection, precise evaluation, sharing and effective security would be created.
