MCIT launches First Information Technology Exhibition in Afghanistan
The first expo of information technology was inaugurated at the exhibition Center in Afghanistan on Saturday, June 13, 2015. The ceremony was attended by Acting and Deputy IT Minister of MCIT Aimal Marjan, former MCIT Minister Amirzai Sangin, government officials, representative of parliament and media.
The first information technology exhibition will continue for four days showcasing products, technologies and services from 120 foreign and domestic companies.
Deputy Minister Aimal Marjan speaking about the importance of the exhibitions said: that achievements in the field of communications are clear and unprecedented. He mentioned that the advances in communications and IT sector are due to policies and good leadership of MCIT. Mr. Marjan added: that MCIT has played its role very well in creating a good policy which provides appropriate environment for private sector activities.
Mr. Marjan said: that the telecommunications and IT have important role in trade, economic growth and fruitful impact on other sectors as well.
In terms of exhibition Mr. Marjan highlighted that the expo has been conducted in collaboration with Ministry of Communications & IT (MCIT) and Afghanistan Exhibition Center. Also stated that with this exhibition we want to show that out country is developing, there are tremendous capacities in the field of telecommunications and IT and should be developed, with its development we can bring billions of dollars revenue to state and handle the country toward the progress.
Deputy IT Minister expressed his gratitude to Afghanistan Exhibition Center and other companies for their cooperation with MCIT in this direction.
In this event, all the speakers respectively congratulate the MCIT, Exhibition Center, State and Afghan Nation and called the exhibition as an important and useful event for our country.
In his speech, deputy finance minister Mr. Mostafa Mastoor said: that the role of ICT is tangible and widespread in the country. He stressed for strengthening the cooperation amongst government and private companies.
Then deputy of commerce and Industry Mr. Mozamil Shinwarai, economic advisor to the Chieve Executive officer Mr. Qurban Haqjo, secretary of Communication Commission in Parliament Mr. Mosakhan Nasrat also praised the role of MCIT in the development of ICT and they also appreciated launching of exhibition as an important event.
