A Delegation of Ministry of Communications and IT Visits the Republic of China

With response to the invitation of the State Post Office Department of People’s Republic of China a delegation of MCIT including Mr. Ahmad Waheed, Director of Post Department and Eng. Mir Abdul Rahman Sadri, Chairman of Afghan Postal Regulatory Authority (APRA) officially visited the People’s Republic of China under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister (Admin- Finance) Alhaj Whabudin Sadaat.

During the visit to China the delegation has made useful meetings with the China’s State Post Authority officials and China Post Group Company.  Both sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of Postal Sector.

Observing provisions of UPU convention and their national regulations, the parties agreed to coordinate their cooperation based on the spirit of equality, friendship, mutual trust and mutual interest for promoting Post Industry to improve the quality of Post Services.

As an aftermath of these meetings a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for development mutual cooperation in the field of the Post Services between the two countries has been signed by Deputy Minister (Admin- Finance) of MCIT and Chinese Post Office General Director Mr. MA Junsheng.

In this trip Afghan Delegation visited Shanghai’s Postal Institutions, historical areas of Beijing (Forbidding City and Great Wall of China), cultural centers and other spectacular points of the Shanghai City.
