Signing agreement to digitize and simplify public and Transport Services

Mohammad Fahim Hashimi acting minister of Communications and Information Technology and Mr. Yama Yari Minister of Transport signed a "Memorandum of Understanding Related to the Processes of Modernization of the Afghan Traffic System" on Tuesday, September 17, 2019
In his speech at the signing ceremony Mohammed Fahim Hashimi acting minister of Communications and information technology said that the move is a great step towards a digital society.
According to him, the distribution of smart driving licenses is another important step that will soon begin with the fully cooperation of the two ministries. Minister Hashimi said the ministry's top priority is to streamline administrative processes and make public services electronic in various departments of the government.
One of the key goals of the Afghan government's leadership, especially H.E. the president, is to move towards a digital and information society, and the ministry will continue its efforts in this regard. He said.
Subsequently, Mr. Yama Yari Minister of Transport said that the Ministry of Transport was a forerunner in the country's reform process and would do its best to streamline and simplify the process of services.
He added that the National Administration of Afghan Traffic will soon be incorporated into the Ministry of Transport and the country's transportation system will be digitized and it could have a positive impact on a variety of issues, including revenues, security and facilities for citizens.
