Agreement for increasing the capacity of Salam network up to 6.1 million subscribers

In purpose to increase the capacity of the Salam Communication network from current 3.1 million up to approximately 6.1 million subscribers Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology Shahzad Aryobee and chairman of the board of the Afghan Telecom Company, signed an agreement with the ZTE global Company on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

In his speech the Minister of Communication and Information Technology said: "By implementing the provisions of the agreement, which will take virtually 8 months, the capacity of the Salam telecommunication network will be enhanced from three million to six million subscribers and will enable the MCIT to develop its services to the remote areas of the country.

Currently, the Salam telecommunication network has a capacity of three million and one hundred thousand subscribers, and the board of directors of this company is trying to provide high-quality telecommunications services with balanced coverage nationwide.
