Afghanistan would not lag behind in the course of extensive growth of technology in the world

Acting minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammad Fahim Hashimi today provided information about MCIT’s achievements in the past one month and future programs for the growth of the telecommunications and information technology sector during a consultative meeting with media officials.
Minister Hashimi detailed that the future plans of MCIT include fighting corruption, providing qulity internet services in reasonable rates, building capacity, seriously monitoring the collection of telecommunication tax, accountability and transparency regional fiber optic connectivity, , promoting electronic governance, and in general restoring the credibility of the ministry as an extremely important institution for the Afghan people and government.
He stated that technology is growing intensively in the world and that Afghanistan should not move at a slower pace than others and we are trying to create finalities so that our farmers, students and all the people of Afghanistan have access to the Internet.
He said that MCIT is committed to providing information and expects the media also play a constructive role in the growth of this sector.
