Acting Minister of Communications and Information Technology attends In Mahatma Gandhi's birthday celebration

Mohammad Fahim Hashimi acting Minister of Communications and Technology attended the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi held at Indian Embassy in Kabul on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

Expressing gratitude to minister Hashmi for his participation in the event the Indian ambassador said: that as the relations between Afghanistan and India continue to grow, we are committed to our full cooperation with Afghanistan.

"We are celebrating 150th birth anniversary of the leader who is still a symbol of the struggle against injustice, inequality and discrimination" Mohammad Fahim Hashimi said.

"We are very pleased to have a friendly relation with India and respect each other deeply. At the same time, we call for India's cooperation in the field of technology development in particular in the area of IT to transform Afghanistan into a digital country “He said.

Minister Hashimi once again emphasizing on the effective cooperation of the two countries, added that India is a good strategic partner for Afghanistan and we are pleased to have India as our true partner and supporter.

At the event, a postal stamp was also unveiled in honor of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday.
