Signing Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of (MCIT) and (Turkmenaragatnashyk) on telecommunications and Information
The signing ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace and was attended by some members of the cabinet and the Turkmen Foreign Minister via video conference on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.
According to the memorandum, the two sides, based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit, will develop long-term cooperation in the field of telecommunications and information per the laws of the two governments.
Referring to the importance of the memorandum, H. E. President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said: "Fiber optic is the foundation of the 21st century, and this foundation gives hope to our youth." He stated that the work that is being done in the 21st century is impossible without fiber-optic network, connectivity, and global knowledge of modern technology.
It is noteworthy that in addition to the above-mentioned memorandum, two economic cooperation agreement were also signed between the two countries.
