Order of the minister of Communications and IT on insulting the Afghan Voice Agency Correspondent

Mohammad Fahim Hashimi acting minister of Communications and Information Technology of the country, has strongly ordered the Afghan Telecom authority to pursue and investigate the case of violation against Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) reporter in Balkh province in the earliest possible opportunity and share its result with the ministry’s leadership.
It comes after the awareness of violence against Afghan Voice reporter Mrs. Rahima Yazdani done by the guard of the head of Provincial Directorate of the Salam Telecommunication Network in Balkh province.
Minister of MCIT said that I was saddened being informed of insulting deed against the correspondent of Afghan Voice Agency. He continues to emphasize saying that the leadership of the ministry cannot tolerate and bear such an insulting and violent action against journalists.
It is not acceptable for me that officials and employees of the Ministry of Communications and other institutions under the authority of the Ministry to commit such an ugly encounter.
The support of journalists is one of the key priorities of the minister and always believing timely information and that reporters are vanguards in this field.
