Minister of Communications and Information Technology meets with the senior adviser of the International Telecommunication Union

Shahzad Aryobee Minister of Communications and Information Technology met today with Mr. Sameer Sharma Senior advisor to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for Asian countries and provided detailed information on the achievements and future plans of the Ministry.

The meeting focused on security of information systems, e-governance, child safety in the Internet, the role of women in information technology, and regional interconnections.

While acknowledging the activities of the MCIT Mr. Samir Sharma, stated that the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) was a partner in Afghanistan's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and will continue fully cooperation in promoting e-governance and the effective use of information technology.
