Inauguration the first part of the Afghan Post Department

Shahzad Aryobee Minister of Communications and Information Technology expressed his gratitude to the Afghan Post employees and officials for their activities and achievements at the inaugurating ceremony.
He said that the Ministry of Communications IT has paid special attention to the simplification and digitization of public services that the opening of this central Post Office is the best and clear example of it.
Based on the strategy of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the project for modernization of postal services was designed in SY 1397, and its one section was successfully completed.
Minister Aryobee added that the following major changes have undergone in the postal services:
1. The renewal of central Post and 16 other post offices of Kabul city in accordance with the international standards and their connection to Fiber Optics Network.
2. Creating the Parcel Locker System, through which the security of correspondences would be provided and online distribution will begin.
3. Beginning of the Digitization Post Box system, this also protects the privacy and security of the postal service.
4- Designing a new Department building for Afghan Post in the Hozory Lawn (Chamane Hozory).
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology also said that this year, the second phase of the project which includes the modernization of twenty post offices, mobile apps, online commerce, open space for office and a number of other innovations.
Mr. Ahmad Wahid Weiss also expressed complete readiness for providing better services, adding that along with the modernization of Central Post Office, other systems are also under construction for quality and reasonable service delivery.
