Digitalization of Education, School connectivity through Fiber Optic Network

Alongside with state schools The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology intends to provide modern education facilities to private schools in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.

 Mohammad Fahim Hashimi acting minster Ministry of Communications and Information Technology met with a number of private school officials on Wednesday, 19, June, 2019.

At this meeting minister of Communications and Information Technology said that he is determined in providing digital and electronic education.

He directed the relevant departmental authorities saying that private schools are also included in connection plan of the MCIT and the survey start in this regard as soon as possible.

To date, MCIT has surveyed 290 schools and their connection work has begun, and it is also expected that 1200 schools would be equipped with new information technology and connected with Fiber Optic Network.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has two for the project, so that in places where there is no connectivity through the fiber-optic network, schools will be connected to the Education Network via a satellite.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has provided two AfghanSat transponders for the project and in areas where there is no connection accessibility, schools can be linked through satellite.
