Afghan Telecom and Salaam Network are expanding

In order to deliver appropriate services to the citizens, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is always working with relevant authorities to cooperate them for developing and implementing their programs and offers the necessary guidance.

Shahzad Aryobee Minister of Communications and Information Technology assessed a one-year process of achievements and activities of the Afghan Telecom company at a meeting held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Hadi Hedayati deputy Minister (Finance and Admin) of MCIT, Mr. Ubaidullah Raqibi deputy minister (Revenues) of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Ajmal Ayan Executive Director of Afghan Telecomm Company and other authorities of this company.

Afghan Telecom, as a national and state-owned company in Afghanistan, has not only experienced significant reforms over the past year, but has also made significant revenues.

During the meeting the decision was made for further improving the quality and extension of the services, decreasing the Internet prices, increasing antennas and expansion of the coverage areas of the Salaam telecommunication network in the coming year.

Shahzad Aryobee emphasized on expanding the activities of telecommunication networks across the country and also instructed the authorities for reducing Internet access rates and expanding fiber optic network.
