Thirty - Four Graduates of ICTI Receive Their Bachelor’s Degrees in Information and Communications Technology

ICTI Students Graduation Party

On January 18, 2011 a grand ceremony was held in Kabul on the occasion of the graduation of Thirty-Four students of the Information and Communications Technology Institute, who received the first Bachelor of Science Degrees in Information and Communications Technology issued by the institute. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Eng. Amirzai Sangin, Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Ghulam Nabi Farahi, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture, Eng Baryalai Hassam Deputy Minister Technical of MCIT, Wahabuddin Sadaat Deputy Minister Administration and Finance of MCIT, Kabul University professors, members of the Afghanistan Telecom Regulatory Authority (ATRA) Board, leading personalities of the MCIT, professor and students of the ICTI and scores of local and international guests.


At the beginning of the ceremony, after the recitation of several verses from the Holy Quran, and the Afghan National Anthem, Mr. Abdul Rahman Sadri, Director of ICTI, welcomed all attendants and expressed special thanks to H.E. Minister Sangin and to Ministry of Higher Education for their consistent support of the ICTI.


H.E. Minister Sangin then congratulated the graduates of the first ICTI Bachelor of Science class and informed the audience of the importance of Information Technology in our modern world, and of the achievements made in the field of Communications and IT in the short span of eight years in Afghanistan. H.E. Minister Sangin further described various aspects of this rapid progress in the Country, and the impact it has made on living standards and job opportunities.


At the end of the ceremony, Diplomas were awarded by H.E Minister Sangin and other senior officials to the graduating student.
