Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between the ministry of Communications and IT and ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs
In order to make the Hajj process electronic an agreement was signed between the Asaan Khedmat Office of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs on Saturday, December 14, 2019.
In the program, Mohammad Fahim Hashemi acting minister of Communications and information technology described the electronicization of the hajj process as an important step to perform religious practices including the hajj.
Minister Hashimi said that “Creating the electronic system for traveling for Hajj provides facilities for the country's pilgrims and the institutions that are striving to get part in this program are the heroes.
In the program, Abdul Hakim Manib acting minister of the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs thanked the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Department of Asaan Khedmat for facilitating and simplifying the process.
He said that “by creating this system we have made it easy for pilgrims to apply from their homes for traveling to the Hajj.
He added that “in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology We are working to digitize the Hajj process, which has been one of the most difficult processes in the past.
