Ministry of Communications and IT upholds Private Sector Investment in the Telecommunications and Fiber Optic

Mohammad Fahim Hashemi acting minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) met with officials of MTN Telecom Company on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.

Both sides had discussion over the plans, quality and development of telecommunication and internet services of the company.

Minister Fahim Hashimi said that MCIT will continue to support the company's investment in fiber optic sector and expanding of its services in Afghanistan.

Minister of Communications and Information Technology, while expressing his will to support the investment of MTN, encouraged all private companies to invest and develop their telecommunication and internet services through open access policy.
