Based on the Afghan Government Telecom Service Fee law, all telecom services are subject to 10% service fee. In order to implement the law MOF, MCIT and ATRA have been assigned the task to establish a Real Time Data Management System for the purpose of transparency in controlling the 10% Service Fee deduction and collection throughout the country and to report ICT sector revenue.
The System should have online interface with all operators to get the VC recharge/any recharge message from Operators Billing, Core,VAS systems whenever subscriber do top-up or recharge then operators systems should also send online message to RTDM /RA System.
Job Summary
Microwave Engineer is responsible for performing moderately complex MW engineering and MW backhaul engineering activities supporting the design, development and optimization of a wireless network; including microwave backhaul network design per specified design rules and topology guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Design & plan Microwave transmission Network by using different Vendor's equipment Siemens, Ericsson, NEC, Stratex, Huawei etc.
• Design & plan high capacity N+1 backbone link by using NEC equipment.
• Perform dimensioning of SDH transmission network to fulfill the traffic requirement of access and core.
• Review and confirm the LOS (Line of Sight) report.
• Complete Path loss Engineering Design.
• Perform SDH network optimization in terms of frequency and capacity.
• Prepare the link budget for SDH Microwave link.
• Monitor the transmission KPI of network through NMS & PNMS and find out service affected links and provide optimization solution accordingly
• Plann for redundant or alternate path to secure RNC/BSC/BTS/NodeB.
• Design planning and provide emergency solutions for service affected Microwave Links due LOS block suddenly.
• Prepare budget planning for respective region to cover the roll out as per Rollout requirements.
• Check the Microwave link's performance quality/KPI as per designing after finishing the implementation.
• Communicate with Vendors for daily progress regarding planning, implementation, equipment availability and solve the problems.
• Review and acceptance of the technical reports provided by Vendors & suppliers from point of transmission view.
• Monitor and advise the vendors activities with respect to Microwave transmission related project.
• Optimize the existing transmission network by considering capacity, KPI.
• Provide data to other department as per requirements.
• Work with regulatory teams for validation of site compliancy.
• Manage multiple activities with varying timelines.
• Any other related task assigned by the supervisor.
Skills
Update knowledge of Microwave technologies.
Able to supervise and support other relevant staff
Knowledge of Pashto or Dari and English languages is required.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor Degree (BSc) and at least 6 years of professional work experience in electrical engineering, telecommunications or equivalent focusing on RF/Microwave. (Master Degree Preferred)
