MCIT signs Memorandum of understanding with MoHE and Ministry of Education

Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) signed cooperation Memorandum of Understanding under the title (role of Information Technology in Education) during a joint press conference with ministries of Higher Educations and Education held on Saturday August 15, 2015 at the conference Hall of MCIT.

While speaking at beginning of the conference minister of MCIT H. E. Abdurazaq Vahidi said: the purpose of the memorandum is proper operation of electrical appliances and ICT in the process of education.

He said by this MCIT intends to provide students, professors and teachers proper and required educational environment.

He added that access to adequate internet capacity in our schools and libraries is not a decoration—it is a necessity for our educational institutions and internet connections enhance curricula at every grade and  level in education system. He also said that: it will enhance the quality and effectiveness of instruction and improving the delivery of education for professors and teachers; and would bring dynamic resources into the classroom and students would be no longer limited by lessons in their schools and classes they will benefit online opportunities connecting them together and with Universities of the world .

Then minister of Higher Education Dr. Farida Momand expressing her pleasure said that: following the constitution of the country to improve the inter-ministerial cooperation we sign the MoU.

She said: that ministry of Higher Education has committed to equipping Universities of the country with ICT labs and internet connections. She added that: this will engage students more directly in the learning process and become adept at problem solving and participating in various form of topics and subjects.

After that minister of Education Dr. Asadulla Hanif Balkhi also spoke at the ceremony. He said: that the signing of the MoU is a step in the development of ICT in the country and it will provide opportunities access and improving quality of education and quality and effectiveness of instructions and education will be enhanced.
