MCIT- Issues Post Service license to XPO Company

Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) issued Post Service license to EXPO during a press conference held on Wednesday May 21, 2014.

Deputy (IT) Minister of Communications and IT Mr. Aimal Marjan participated the event. Mr. Marjan explaining the importance of Post service in daily life of the people and said: postal services play vital and essential role on economic growth of the country explained the important and vital role of the Postal services, stating the achievements of Ministry of Communications and IT in Postal services and historical values of Post service in Afghanistan, Mr. Marjan said that Afghanistan is among the 102 countries, which provide postal services around the world.. He emphasized that the MCIT strongly intends to provide facilities and post services all over the country using updated and modern technology.


After that chairman of Afghanistan Post Regulatory Authority (APRA) Mr. Mir Abdurahman Sadri presented briefly information about the service of eXPO express post service Company and said: FedEx Corporation is an import/export company, which provides express postal services in 211countries of the world. It delivered postal services in cooperation with Afghan express postal service. Now its contract terminated effecting April 9 2014; and delivers service through expo company.
Later chairman of the mentioned company pledged to deliver better and various postal services all around Afghanistan in close collaboration with Afghanistan Express Postal Service.
