Kabul Province Digital Coordinating department's Plans, development projects and actions in the field of digitalization

1. Following up the issue of fiber optic extension through (north, south and east) routes of Kabul: the Afghan Telecom Company has started the extension work in Kalakan, Qarabagh, Surobi, Mirbachakot and Chahar Asyab districts and will be completed by the end of the current fiscal year.
2. The quality of local telecommunication services has been strengthened up to 90% in the two most remote areas and 14 districts of Kabul province in the light of the strategy of the Ministry of Information Technology, Telecommunications and Science.
3. As per the assessments the needs and cooperation of local people, practical activities for Strengthening telecommunication sites in Paghman, Shakardara, Goldara, Surobi, Istalif, Musahi and Khak-e-Jabbar districts has been coordinated; but Unfortunately, in three (Surobi, Khak-e-jabar and Mushai) districts still facing challenges due to security issues.
