Discussion on mutual cooperation with the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran

Mr. Shahzad Aryobee, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, met with Mr. Mohammad Javad Azari Jahrami, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran, on the sideline of the International Telecommunication Union Conference on Friday, November 2, 2018.

Both the ministers  discussed the issues of regional connectivity of the Fiber Optics, Network through the Chabahar port and through that to submarine cable and the implementation of a bilateral agreement between the Afghan government and Iran, which was already signed and both the countries shall implement as soon as possible.

Also, The Minister of Communications and Technology of Iran pledged his country’s cooperation with Afghanistan in various aspects and requested the Afghan government to cooperate in the election of ITU board members.

Meanwhile, the Afghan Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mr. Shahzad Aryobee, was invited officially to visit Iranian ICT infrastructure.
