Digital Phone Project of Kart-e now officially inaugurates

 Kart-e now digital Phone Station, which has the capacity of 5000 lines, was inaugurated by H.E. Eng. Amirzai Sangin Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) on Tuesday 27th November, 2012.

The project cost was 2.296 millionUS Dollars funded by development budget of MCIT and implemented by the Indian Company named Aster and Ohaio Chines Company. The event was attended by leadership of MCIT, members of Wolasi Jirga and media representatives.

Thanking the comprehensive cooperation of residents of the area H. E. Amirzai Sangin said:  today I’m pleased to take another step toward the development   of our country, this station covers (Kart-e now project, Rahman meena and Sha shaheed), some other area close to this project, the project links other stations by Fiber Optic.

Eng. Sangin mentioned that the project is implemented under control of MCIT by Aster and Ohaio Companies.

Further he said: the planed all projects from 100’000 lines throughout the Kabul city have completed by operation and utilization of Karta –e now project. He also mentioned that this project has the capacity of further extension.  

Besides rapid and cheaper phone connectivity the project will provide data transfer, internet dial up and DSL facilities and it will cause increase in the income of our country.
