Acting Minister Syed Ahmad Shah Sadaat meets with Indian deputy ambassador

The acting minister of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology met with the deputy Ambassador of the Indian Embassy, Mr. Vijay Singh, in his office.

In this meeting, there was a detailed discussion on the two "transponders" allocated to Afghanistan in South Asian satellite. In addition, Mr. Vijay Singh reassured his country's continued cooperation and efforts in the construction and deployment of Afghan satellite (Afghan sat2), the implementation of small-scale development projects, training professional cadres and development of friendly relations between the two countries.

While thanking for Indian cooperation Eng. Sadaat emphasized on friendly relations of the two countries, and then Deputy Ambassador of India, considered Afghanistan the best friend and partner of his country in the region, it was also decided that the South Asian satellite agreement between Afghanistan and India needs to be signed as soon as possible.

The satellite has 12 "transponders", with 2 "transponders" provided to Afghanistan free of charge, the satellite is utilized in television broadcasting, telecommunication, tele education, tele medicine, and other fields.
