Signing of MoU between the Ministry of Communications and IT, Ministry of Interior

The MCIT signed a MoU with Ministry of Interior, Afghanistan on 25 Qaws 1397 consisted of, simplifying related procedures and modernizing Afghanistan's traffic system.
This program was made by One Stop Shop (Asan Khedmat) department under the directorship of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, aiming to make the city traffic services electronic in order to provide better services for satisfaction of the clients in the city. These program include capacity building for the employees of the related department, making the traffic system easy, designing a database and building a server to control the traffic system.
Shahzad Aryobee Minister of Ministry of Communications & Information Technology declared, that this system (Electronic System) is a useful step towards managing the traffic police system, furthermore, he added that the main purpose of this memorandum is to install security cameras in every roundabouts and to create a network between all the traffic departments of provinces with the center through a database that contains all the traffic incidents and the driving licenses details, digitalization of documents Reports of accidents and driving licenses.
Establishment of the Electrical Traffic System would be remarkably useful for the facilitation of issuing vehicle registration documents, driving licenses, electronic road passes, supervising the traffic security cameras and also this could provide easier services for the people related to police traffic departments.
