PMP Training required at Kabul for MCIT’s Staff under Capacity Building Initiatives of MCIT

Bckground:
Afghanistan’s ICT Sector Development Project (ICTDP), as funded by the World Bank, is being implemented by MCIT. HR Department of MCIT has planned to utilize a portion of the Capacity Building/Training Fund of ICTDP for carrying out training of MCIT’s Staff. The training will need to be imparted by a Qualified and Authorized Training Institute/ University/Training Center/Firm at Kabul.
Scope of Training:
In continuation of the efforts for the capacity development officials of the Ministry, Capacity Building Department of MCIT has designed a training program for the officials of MCIT working in Kabul and in other Provinces of the Country. The design of this training is based upon the outcomes of the deliberations of a committee constituted for this purpose. Committee considered TNA (Training Need Assessment) report and based upon it identified areas for training that have direct relevance with the office functions and procedures. This training program will be conducted in English language so that 20 officials can be trained in 02 Batches (10 per Batch). The program consists of Project Management Professional (PMP) training and PMP Certificates Facilitation. The total duration of the training will be approximately 6 months (03 months for each Batch). Each Participant will undergo training for 66 Working Days (a total of 132 Training Hours). Training will include 132 hours of Training at Kabul and 3 days of PMP Certification Exam at any PMP Certified Centre of Dubai.
