Minister of Communications and Information Technology meets with officials of the Baker Mackenzie organization

In his visit to the United States, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Shahzad Aryobee, while Afghan Ambassador to Washington, Dr. Hamdullah Moheb was also accompanying him, met with the authorities of the Baker Mackenzie organization.

During the meeting both sides discussed and exchange views over a number of issues such as country's geographic location, the  role of the youths in the development and economic growth of the country and their capacity and skills building, the security situation, economic opportunities, regional connectivity, the achievements and progress made in the telecommunications sector, the Internet and contracts with neighboring countries, the Asaan Khedmad and services and facilities provided through it,  such as; online passport, traffic system and work license system for both domestic and foreign citizens, creation of Electronic national ID cards systems, E- Governance and Public Service platform, launching NIXA Project which aims to take control of the Internet nationwide, upgrading the capacity of the information security or cyber security sector, existing opportunities for investment in the IT sector, and the role of the government in crisis management to create a secure environment for private sector.
