Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) for Incubator Space Project of MCIT

 Under World Bank funded Afghanistan ICT Sector Development Project(ICTDP) of the Ministry of Communications and IT (MCIT), MCIT has planned to get the Incubator Space designed, supplied and installed in the ICT Institute Area of MCIT. The Land where the facility has to come up has a clear Title with MCIT and is fully owned by the Government. The planned Incubator Space will come up in a total Plot Area of 40M X 20 M inside the compound of ICT Institute complex which is 100 % owned by MCIT. Sandwich Panels will be used to provide the Facility and all the Material will be brought from local Market to the Project Site and there is no construction of the Material involved on site. Area where the Facility will come up is an Office Area of ICT Institute and is away from residences and other populated areas and thus, it will have almost no environmental impacts.

The Project involves providing of a single storey based Incubator facility on a turnkey basis for Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in ICT Institute Area of MCIT on Kabul-Jalalabad Highway in Kabul. Pre-fabricated Sandwich Panels will be used for such a facility. This one storeyed Incubator Facility will contain 19 Office Rooms, each of 3 x 5 meters size, one Meeting Room of 8 x 4.5 meters size, one Dining Hall of 4 x 5 meters size with Wash Basin and 4 Toilets with wash basins etc.
