Cosulting Services for Project Management Specialist

 Background:

   The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT)  is implementing a number of sectoral projects funded by the government and other development partners. To manage its portfolio of investment projects better, MCIT has established a Project Management Unit (PMU), chaired by Deputy Minister-Technical of MCIT. The Directors of the Policy and Planning Department, ICT Department, Finance Department and the Procurement Department of MCIT provide support to the PMU. To manage all the Projects as funded by the Core Development Budget or any other Donor other than the World Bank, a Projects Management Office(PMO) has been established. MCIT now needs a Project Management Specialist (PMS) to head this PMO. The Head of the PMO will directly report to the Deputy Minister-Technical of MCIT as far as monitoring and evaluation aspects of the Projects are concerned. For all other functions, PMS will report to the Deputy Minister-Technical through Director-Planning and Policies Department of MCIT.
