Consulting Services for Technical Coordinator

 Background

The Ministry of Communications and IT has initiated the project of developing the Electronic National ID platform for the government. The Project has a centralized management structure.  The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) will be the implementing agency for the proposed project. MCIT is implementing a number of sectoral projects funded by the government and other development partners.

The respective departments within MCIT will handle core financial management and procurement functions for the project.  A Project Management Office (PMO) will support MCIT in implementation of the proposed project. MCIT proposes hiring the PMO staff during project preparation through a PMO funds. The PMO will include a project manager, Technical Coordinator, Project Coordinator and Finance Officer.

  Objective

The objectives of this assignment are to (i) support the PMO with all technical coordination tasks.  (ii) ensure that all the technical equipment as held by the PMO is always maintained in 100 % serviceable condition (iii) to coordinate all technical events, meetings and the conferences with all stake holders, effectively and efficiently.
