Vice President of Afghanistan Introduce the New Minister for MCIT

Newly appointed Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology (MCIT) His Excellency Abdurazaq Wahidi after gaining the vote of confidence from Parliament was introduced during an official ceremony to leadership and staff of the MCIT by H. E. Sarwar Danish the second vice  president of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on Tuesday April 21, 2015.

Speaking at the beginning of the ceremony deputy Technical Minister Eng. Baryalay Hassam welcomed the second vice president and guests and congratulated H. E. Wahidi on occasion of his selection as Minister of MCIT.

Eng. Hassam said: based on the comprehensive policy of MCIT created during the past years MCIT has achieved tremendous successes in the field of ICT across the country. Eng. Hassam also appreciated good leadership and cooperation of former Minister of MCIT H. E. Amirzai Sangin and thanked him for his efforts in the growth of ICT in the country.

Then the second vice president H. E. Sarwar Danish also congratulated H. E. Abdurazaq Wahidi and thanked former Minister for his struggles in development of ICT.

H.E. Danish emphasized: that the philosophy of good governance depends on delivering good services to the people. He said: legitimacy of a government proves when better and worthwhile services be delivered. In terms of importance and effectiveness of ICT H. E. Sarwar Danish said: telecommunications and Information Technology are the two key elements of all developments of given communities.

H. E. Danish expressed hope that by appearance of new figures in the cabinet particularly in MCIT there will be created broader context of ICT development and facilities services to the people.

Then Minister of MCIT H. E. Abdurazaq Wahidi expressed his thanks for the confidence of the president, chief executive and parliament of Afghanistan. He said ICT is one of the valuable sector, which has effective role in economic and social growth of the country.

Expressing his pleasure Minister Wahidi said: I am proud of valuable experiences of my colleagues in MCIT and demand your further patience and cooperation in the line of our joint work.
