MCIT has initiated visit program to the Local ICT Companies of Afghanistan
Ministry of Communications and IT is committed to development of ICT community of Afghanistan and believes in close coordination and cooperation among all stakeholders and to take them in confidence and move forward with united agenda and shared vision to nurture ICT industry in Afghanistan.
Therefore, H.E. Aimal Marjan, Deputy Minister IT, Ministry of Communications and IT has initiated visit program to the Local ICT companies of Afghanistan in order to assess the capacity of IT private sector of Afghanistan, to involve them in MCIT's future IT strategies and vision setting process and for the purpose of public awareness on the issue of WTO accession
The process started by visiting a number of reputed IT organizations i.e. TechNation, Afghanistan Reliable Technology Services (ARTS), Netlinks, Codezone and Afghanistan Holding Group (AHG), where H.E. Aimal Marjan and Mr. Wais Payab, Director Technology and Innovation from MCIT met with the officials of organizations, discussed their current products, services and projects, listened to their issues and suggestions and assessed their capacity.

H.E. Aimal Marjan gave a brief introduction of MCIT policies and regulations that will affect the ICT sector in his speech. “MCIT main focus was on building infrastructure as without infrastructure it would have been difficult to implement and regulate policies, procedures and laws related to ICT.” H.E. Aimal Marjan said.
He explained the current position of MCIT on development of ICT sector in Afghanistan and mentioned the importance of role of ICT private organizations in future policy making decisions.
He also explained the importance of WTO membership for the economy of Afghanistan and said, “Each organization should assign a working unit and study the terms, conditions and policies under WTO for at least one year and know the ways to utilize and capitalize this opportunity for the development of ICT sector in Afghanistan.” He added, “The ICT companies of Afghanistan should enable themselves according to the international standards in order to get maximum benefits from this opportunity and to compete on international level.” H.E. Aimal Marjan also stressed in his speech on the delivery of quality products and services.

Later, MCIT delegation were given tour of organizations by officials where H.E. Aimal Marjan encouraged the employees of organizations by communicating with them individually.
MCIT delegation will visit 100 ICT companies in upcoming 3 months to obtain the set objectives in order to strengthen the ICT community in Afghanistan.
