Inauguration of online passport system

Shahzad Aryoee Minister of Communications and Information Technology inaugurated online passport system created by Afghan specialists with the presence of the Minister of Interior Affairs, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Interior, members of the Department of Passports, Asaan Khedmat office and the leadership of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
At the opening ceremony, Shahzad Aryobee said: that in the creation of the online passport system, the experts' opinions of the Ministry of Interior, international experiences were used.
Minister Aryobee added that the successful implementation of this system will provide a great deal of convenience and facilities for the citizens and, on the other hand, will create more self-confidence in Afghan specialists of Ministry of Communications and Technology.
Currently, the passport system is connected with the system of electronic Identity Cards, airports and ports of the country, and work on the connection of 34 provinces is ongoing, which has capacity of 10,000 passport per day, and simultaneously more than 6,000 employees at one time can use this System.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is committed to the revitalization and digitization of all public services.
