The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Afghanistan ICT Sector Development Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for conducting Advanced Level IT Training under Skills Development Program.
The Consultancy Services (“the Services”) include imparting of Skills Development IT Training by three IT Training Institutes or Universities (called Consultants) to the competent individuals in Afghanistan, under overall directions of Director General of IT Department of MCIT, at Kabul-Afghanistan. The Consultants will be selected by MCIT to conduct the Skills Development Programs, under the Fixed Budget Selection Process. This program will provide graduates with an opportunity to improve their skills and become ‘industry-ready’ through training in technical, business, and other ‘soft’ skills (e.g. communication, workplace etiquettes etc). This approach will ensure that there is a tight integration between ongoing academic programs and industry requirements. Details of the IT Training to be imparted by the Consultants are given in the REOI and the Terms of Reference (TOR) as placed on MCIT’s Website (www.mcit.gov.af).
