Consultancy Services by a Firm for Innovations Support Fund Management

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the ICT Sector Development Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The Consultancy Services (“the Services”) include Management of Innovations Support Fund of MCIT by a Qualified Firm, under overall directions of Director General of ICT Department of MCIT, at Kabul-Afghanistan. The long term aim of the Innovation Support Programme (ISP) is to promote ICT innovations culture in the country and its short term objectives are to promote applications and adoption of mobile technologies within the government sector and in other sections of the Afghan society and establish the institutional and human capacity within the government of Afghanistan to promote and sustain innovations in the ICT sector. Under the ICT Sector Development Project of MCIT, 5.00 Million USD Fund has been allocated as a grant for the implementation of Innovations Support Program. This Program (ISP) has to be implemented in accordance with the approved Operations Manual of this Grant Management. World Bank approved Operations Manual of the ISP will be made available by DG-ICT of MCIT to the selected ISP Fund Management Firm.
