MCIT- Issues License to Postal Service Provider Company Nay

An agreement of supplying postal service was signed between Afghan Postal Regulatory Authority (APRA) of MCIT and Nay Postal Service Provider Company in a conference, which was held in APRA conference hall on 30th January 2013.

The conference was attended by chief of staff of MCIT Mr. Ghulam Jailani Waziri, Chairman of APRA Mr. Abdul Rahman Sadri and its leadership body, Chairman of Nay and media representatives.

At the beginning Mr. Waziri briefly mentioned and praised operation and achievements of Afghan Postal Regulatory Authority in the country said: Nay formally requested to establish a postal service company, which will work under Afghan Postal Regulatory authority (APRA). He added, according its plan above mentioned Company will be able to provide fast postal services to 9 provinces of the country and will extend its services across the country.

After that chairman of APRA Mr. Sadri referring to companies providers rapid post service said; today there are seven post service companies, which are private companies except Afghan Post Company. He added that before parceling items to foreign countries and vice versa had taken 15 days and now it    takes 73 hours to reach safely farthest area of the world. He also mentioned that Nay Company paid 20000 US dollar royalty, 10000 US dollar as a bank guarantees, and it will pay 15% of its whole profit of the sell to the Government.
