Eng. Amirzai Sangin Participates World ITU-2012 Conference

Minister of Communication and Information Technology of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan H.E. Amirzai Sangin participated at the International Technology Union (ITU) World Conference 2012, which was held by the United Arabic Emirates government on Sunday 14 October 2012. Secretory General of International Technology Union (ITU) Dr. Tour Hama don, vice presidents, ministries of telecommunications and senior profiles of deferent countries attended the conference.

In the Ministerial Roundtable participants exchanged and shared their views and discussed for further cooperation and coordination to accelerate innovation and better communication services, including mobile phone, internet, digital and more.

 The meeting ITU offered two new projects for sustainable development of communication technology in the context of using mobile broadband. These two plans are M- Powering Development and Smart sustainability Model.

More discussions were focused on current practices in the field of digital industry, the e- Health, e- Environment, e- Government, broadband, taxation and etc. minister of communication and Information Technology of Afghanistan H. E. Amirzai Sangin presented views and suggestions of the ITU, which were appreciated by the participants. And also new and useful policies were presented by the rest of participants.

 

On the sidelines of the meeting a workshop entitled “Young & Digital Innovators and who owns my Datawas held. The workshop was attended by representatives of regulatory telecommunication agencies and telecommunication companies from deferent countries.

The participants also visited the exhibition which displayed new technology of various sectors of ICT such as: Mobile Data Center Switch ، Broad Band Technologies, Solar Systems, ،  3D LCD TV, New  Brand Smart phones Security Cameras using Radio Frequency Identification.
