A Consultative meeting with the IT heads of ministries and government departments on the establishment of a standard national information center was held
The meeting was held under the stewardship of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Masooma Khavari, with the participation of some heads of technical departments of this ministry and heads of about 20 IT specialists from ministries and government departments on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.
The meeting discussed the establishment of a standard national information center and exchanged views in this regard.
First, the Director-General of Government Information Systems Technology (CIO) detailed the participants on the vision, goals, duties, and responsibilities of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on how to establish the National Information Center with international standards, problems, and challenges in this sector, services, and projects of the Ministry.
Then the participants, while presenting their plans and ideas for the founding of a standard National Information Center to meet the needs of the Afghan government departments, expressed their cooperation and support for its establishment.
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Masooma Khavari, while confirming the views of the participating departments, stressed that the establishment of the National Information Center is an urgent necessity for Afghanistan.
She also stressed the creation a joint technical committee to enrich the plan to build the Afghan National Information Center.
In the end, representatives of the Afghanistan IT Council honored the leadership of MCIT by presenting a statue of appreciation.
