The Ministry of Communication and IT (MCIT) of Afghanistan is to facilitate and pave the way for Mobile Network Operators to provide high Quality Communication, IT Services for the Afghan People at Affordable prices. The Ministry has been actively Advocating for a positive change in the society by connecting the Afghan people to knowledge and resources, which will enable them to improve the quality of their lives. The Afghan Government aims to establish a stable and Democratic Political Environment, rule of law, and a Favorable Regulatory Environment for Business.
Based on the Afghan Government Telecom Service Fee law, all telecom services are subject to 10% service fee. In order to implement the law MOF, MCIT and ATRA have been assigned the task to establish a Real Time Data Management System for the purpose of transparency in controlling the 10% Service Fee deduction and collection throughout the countryand to report ICT sector revenue.
The System should have online interface with all operators to get the VC recharge/any recharge message from Operators Billing, Core,VAS systems whenever subscriber do top-up or recharge then operators systems should also send online message to RTDM /RA System.

 

Job Summary

The Power Technicians will work in collaboration with other Network Engineers to design and implement power system, power back up systems and to take care of and issues preventing damage and power outage of RTDMS/RA system, NOC and the related offices.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Deductive Reasoning: Electrical technicians need to be able to look for problems in complicated electrical grids, isolate the issue and solve it.
 Must be able to look at electrical blueprints and scan them for issues, making sure that they work before installed.
 Working with wires, using hand tools and handling small components requires manual dexterity.
 Taking care of generators and DC power backup systems to make sure the RTDMS/RA system will be supplied the required power 24/7. 
 Taking care of Air-conditions, Power outlets and other electrical equipment of related departments. 
 Need to be able to look at electrical grids and evaluate them for any problems, to make sure they are being installed correctly.
 Must be able to identify issues and make corrective measures to fix problems with electrical components.

Skills

3. Strong experience in designing power supply systems is a plus. 
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills
6. Ability to work as a team member and independently
7. Ability to communicate with English speakers. 

Qualifications

1. At least 14 class education on Electrical power systems 
2. 4-5 years of experience taking care of City Power, Generators, Air-conditions in a national or international organization. 
3. Strong experience in designing power supply systems is a plus.
